Carlos Kameni's outburst at an Espanyol fan earlier this week looked for all the world like it would signal his exit from the club, but today he has been offered an olive branch.
After listening to Kameni give his reasons for his behaviour at a press conference, The Espanyol Supporters Club have decided to forgive him for his actions, which included threatening a fan with death.
They have also decided not to push for him to be fined anymore, and in a communiqué, they thanked 'all of the club' for their 'concern and support' since the first moment.
The message also thanked everyone, from the president and the directors to the captain, for their support following the incident.
The supporters then called on the rest of the Espanyol fans to forgive the 'erroneous attitude' of the goalkeeper, and hoped that next Sunday they will fill the Montjuïc, to see their team win.
Worryingly, Espanyol currently sit third from bottom in La Liga, and this weekend they take on Almería.
The last time the Barcelona side won was way back in November, when they beat Osasuna 1-0 on the first weekend of the month.
