Nicolas Anelka: Chelsea Can Beat Juventus

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka cannot wait to play Juventus when the sides meet in February for their last 16 clash in the Champions League. Anelka has picked out former international team-mate David Trezeguet as Juventus' main threat.

'Trezegol' is currently coming back towards full fitness after a lengthy injury lay-off and he should be available for the games if all goes well. Anelka believes Chelsea will be the eventual winners over the two-legged tie, however, the former Arsenal man is worried about Trezeguet's prowess in front of goal.

"Trezeguet? It's bad news for us that he has returned from injury," Anelka told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"I admire David, he is a true goalscorer and there aren't many like him. He was born to score and if you give him half a chance then he will take it."

Juventus will not be feeling inferior to Chelsea. The Bianconeri will head to London and fight. Claudio Ranieri also has a point to prove to his former employers but Anelka is confident in his team's chances.

"It will be a tough game. Juventus are a top team. It's always difficult against the Italians; they are tactically the strongest in Europe.

"We have to score at home and keep a clean sheet if we are to go to Turin and get a result in the second leg."
