VfB Stuttgart are staying quiet over the possibility that Bernd Schuster could take over as their head coach in the summer amid reports in Spain that a deal has been agreed.
The Bundesliga outfit are said to have offered the former Getafe and Real Madrid coach a two-year contract that would see him able to start planning his squad for next term.
Sport state that Stuttgart president Erwin Staudt has a deal in place for Schuster to replace caretaker coach Markus Babbel, but the club are not confirming or denying anything.
Armin Veh was sacked as coach before Christmas and Babbel was asked to take over for the rest of the season while a new trainer was sought; now it is believe they have found their man.
Freiburg coach Robin Dutt has also been linked with the post, but Schuster's alleged interest has put him at the top of the wanted list and talks have already been held, the report states.
