Valencia Agree Deal To Sign César From Tottenham

Valencia are set to bring César Sánchez back to La Liga after agreeing a deal for the goalkeeper with Tottenham Hotspur.

Marca reports that all that is left now is for the veteran to take a medical this evening, and then the signing can be completed.

No details have yet been released about the cost of the deal, but it is unlikely to be very expensive for Valencia.

Unai Emery had already identified the former Real Zaragoza man as the potential target to replace Renan, who is injured for two months, and now it seems he has got his man.

César should have no problem settling in at Valencia, and he will be competing with Guaita for the number one jersey, at least until Renan is fit again.

The 37-year-old is certainly an experienced goalkeeper, having played nine seasons with Valladolid and five with Real Madrid before moving on to Real Zaragoza.

There he played over 100 matches in three years, but his move to White Hart Lane did not work out, and now he finds himself back in Spain after less than a season away.
