Apoño has stated that he is focussed on playing for Málaga amid rumours that Carling Cup finalists Tottenham Hotspur and fellow English Premier League outfit Hull City are monitoring his progress.
The 25 year-old has admitted that he was aware that his performances this term had seen him linked to a move to the Premier League, but has also claimed that he is not considering leaving.
With a €4 million buy.out clause in his current contract the midfielder, whose full name is Antonio Galdeano Benítez, would not represent much of a risk for either Spurs or the Tigers.
"I am aware of the rumours," Sky Sports quote Apoño as saying. "At the moment, my only desire is to carry on improving with Málaga."
After playing for Andalucian outfit Marbella for three seasons, he joined his hometown club Málaga in 2007 and helped them to win promotion back to the top flight last term.
A club spokesman revealed that while there were strong rumours, there was no concrete interest, stating: "There has been no contact with any club about Apoño."
