Vicente Soriano Guarantees Villa & Silva Will Stay At Valencia

As Valencia’s financial situation remain an uncertainty, rumours continue to grow regarding the club’s need to sell of some of their prized assets, such as David Villa and David Silva.

Over the past weeks, there have been mixed responses to come out of the Mestalla, with some of the board members and even the two players themselves speculating that they may have to leave, while others have reiterated that they will definitely be staying.

However, club president, Vicente Soriano, yesterday all but guaranteed that the dynamic duo will remain in the white shirt of Los Ché, especially Silva, who has been strongly linked to Juventus recently.

“We want to maintain a top class team and for us to do that, Villa and Silva are fundamental,” he told Canal 9 program ‘Minut A Minut’.

“The continuity of Silva and Villa at Valencia is guaranteed. Silva is a player who gives the team an extra dimension in attack. He can make goals as well as score them,” Soriano beamed.
