Pellegrini: Villarreal Were Better Than Real Madrid

A sweet strike from Arjen Robben was the difference between Real Madrid and Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the visiting coach felt that this result was hard to pinpoint as being fair or otherwise.

"It's difficult to qualify it as just or unjust," he told the press after the game.

"Real Madrid managed to score and we did not.

"After they scored we played better - at least we then had opportunities to tie the game.

"Until the goal they did better - they were looking for it and they won."

After losing their last three league games, Pellegrini admitted that the Yellow Submarine has lost a bit of its shine.

"We've had three defeats in three matches and even though they were close we still lost," he said.

"We've dropped our level a bit, and it's hard to analyse why.

"As for Juande Ramos at Madrid? It's hard to give an opinion after three games, and it's not up to me who they value there."
