Miguel Palanca: Real Madrid Always Go For The Victory

Real Madrid convincingly saw off the challenge of Real Mallorca yesterday afternoon, with goals from Arjen Robben, Raul and Sergio Ramos giving Los Blancos a comfortable 3-0 victory.

21-year-old midfielder Miguel Palanca continued his integration into the Madrid starting line-up with another substitute appearance, and he is delighted that he is able to contribute to his side's improving form.

However, Juande Ramos' Madrid have been criticised in recent weeks for harbouring a defensive approach, something that Palenca himself doesn't agree with.

He said, "We do have defensive players in our team, but we are a side that has four attacking players and we try to win every game.

"We are much more likely to win with this kind of set up."

Raul Landmark

Palanca also praised club captain Raul for making his 500th league appearance in the white of Madrid, and he believes that the legendary striker is a player who typifies what it means to be a Real Madrid player.

He said of the 31-year-old, "Raul is a clear example to follow. Little by little he has edged past all the records set by others, and he truly is a landmark player."

Recovering Real's win at Mallorca has moved them into second place in La Liga, with 35 points from their 18 matches so far this season.
