Solari: I Joined Almera To Win

Almería pulled off yet another transfer coup by landing last season's Mexican league top scorer, and Solari intends to repay the Spanish side's faith by propelling them to another fine finish.

He told the press at his official unveiling, "I may not promise goals, but what I can pledge is work, dedication, commitment, and professionalism," said the Argentine ace.

"For me it is a challenge playing with Almería and in the Spanish league, and with this I assume full responsibility."

Solari hit 24 goals in Mexico last season for Pumas UNAM as the University side enjoyed a mid-table finish in the Primera.

He has previously played in Europe before with Belgian side Lierse and Cypriot outfit APOEL, with whom he was the Cyprus league's player of the year in 2006-07.

The former Gimnasia Jujuy man has also represented Defensa j Justicia, Estudiantes and Argentinos Juniors at home, as well as Chioggia in Italy.
