Fernando Returns To Málaga

Málaga have just returned to the top flight for the first time in two seasons, with Fernando serving as their first signing of the summer.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder was born in Málaga, but until now has not represented the Andalucian club.

Instead he started his career at Real Madrid B, going on to make one appearance in the Liga for the first team before being sold on to Real Valladolid.

He spent two seasons with the Pucela befire attracting the attention of Real Betis, with whom he enjoyed a fantastic debut season.

However recently the attacking midfielder has fallen out of contention at the Ruiz de Lopera, prompting the 'Anchovies' to make a move for him.

Fernando has penned a four year deal at the Rosaleda, wherein he hopes to bring his professional career to a close.

Getafe's Nacho and Miguel Angel, formerly of Real Betis, are next on the shopping list for the 'Boquerones.'
