Ronaldinho had been the Rossoneri’s primary transfer target a couple of months ago, but the deal then hit a snag, and it was believed that the move was off.
However in recent weeks the transfer has been resurrected, and only last night the Barcelona man’s brother and agent, Roberto De Assis, stated that there was an 80 or 90 per cent chance of Milan signing him. These remarks have been seconded by Bronzetti.
"I continue to believe that he may go to Milan,” the super agent told Radio Centro Suono Sport.
“For sure in his head, he is no longer a Barcelona player.”
Ronaldinho has been criticised in the press this week after being pictured (see photo above) in a charity match in Venezuela looking particularly overweight.
The Brazilian press have been poking fun, handing the playmaker a new nickname, ‘Gordinho’, which translated means ‘little fat one’, and of which is a reference to Ronaldo, who a few years ago was labelled ‘El Gordo’ (the fat one).
“Even if he has put on few too many kilos, he cannot be considered finished,” Bronzetti stressed.
“Indeed, for me, he remains the ‘number one’, and remember that he is only 28. With his ambition, he still has much to say in the world of football.”
