No More New Signings - Roig

The Yellow Submarines have been strengthening during the summer transfer window but it now seems that business for this year is closed.

Roig is happy with the squad his club has at its disposal and he has closed the doors for any possible arrivals at the El Madrigal.

“The team is now completely closed for the 2008/09 season,” Roig told Marca

“Villarreal has one of the best teams now than it has had in the past and I hope it gets even better in future.”

A number of players who are no longer considered a part of the coach’s plans ghave also left the club. Rio Mavuba has joined French club Lille and Josemi has reached a deal with Mallorca.

John-Dahl Tomasson has moved back to Feyenoord. as the new squad begins to take shape and, after last season's brilliant campaign, Villarreal will be confident of challenging for major honours next term.
