Spurs To Swoop For Oliveira?

The Daily Mail claims that Spurs boss Juande Ramos has targeted Oliveira to fill the void left by Robbie Keane’s £19million departure to Liverpool.

The Brazilian international spent last season on loan at La Romareda and was snapped up for £7.8million by the Aragonese side in May despite their shocking relegation from La Liga.

However, he is likely to be among a host of players sold for profit as Zaragoza seek to solve their financial problems, even though the club have announced their desire to keep hold of their star striker.

The 28-year-old scored 17 goals in 37 league appearances last term and has appeared on a few wish-lists over the course of the summer. Indeed, Ramos may have to battle his former club for ex-Milan man, as Sevilla are also reported to be interested in securing his services.

The Lilywhites have also been linked with Diego Milito, Oliveira’s strike partner at Zaragoza, and may well move for the Argentine ace if Dimitar Berbatov leaves White Hart Lane as expected.
