The Argentine stopper arrived from Riverplate two years ago but he has yet to prove his worth in La Liga.
Last term he spent most of the season on the bench as Miguel Angel Moya’s understudy at the ONO Estadi.
Lux has had enough of bench warming and he is doing all he can to get a regular starting place in Gregorio Manzano’s side.
“I don’t like being second choice at all but this is football,” Lux told Marca.
“It’s hard being a goalkeeper as there is only one position but my expectations are always the same and that is to play.
“I don’t like to be compared with the other ‘Keepers in the team but I hope to have a good pre-season and then the coach will decide who plays.”
The Balearic island club finished an impressive seventh in La Liga last term and they will be hoping to continue that trend next season.
