Keita: I'll Stand Up To Güiza

The 25-year-old Guinean was today formally confirmed as a new Barralets player at the ONO Estadi, and he wasted no time in announcing that he was eager to stake a claim for a first team place.

The former FC Zürich man said, too, that the idea of competing with last season's Liga leading scorer, Dani Güiza, did not faze him.

"I'm not worried because I can compare with Güiza, although I will work to improve," he said.

Keita added that he was aware of past interest from Mallorca, and that even when he was in Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad Jeddah he was a keen follower of Mallorca.

"I've tracked this team for three years now," he said.

The ex-Khouribga man is Mallorca's sixth signing of the summer, joining Óscar Díaz, Mario Suárez, Josemi, Ayoze and Jurado.

On Monday Keita and the rest of the squad travel to Kössen, Austria, for pre-season training.
