Valladolid Seal Escudero Loan

The Argentine player is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects of his country and his performances for Vélez and Argentina led to interest from big names in Europe.

Escudero ended up signing for Spanish runners-up, Villarreal, earlier this summer, only to find out he did not figure in the coach's first-team plans.

Villarreal have decided to loan out the player to Valladolid, who narrowly escaped relegation last season, for him to get more games under his belt.

Escudero, 21, was a vital piece in Argentina's squad that won the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, having joined Villarreal from Vélez Sársfield for a fee of €5 million.
