The Ivorian international is seeking to leave Lens after his mentor, Guy Roux, left the club early last season.
Having spent time at Marseille on loan he seems to be largely unwilling to return for the now-relegated sant-et-or in time for the new season.
Osasuna could be his next destination as his agent revealed that the Pamplona outfit have shown an interest in the Ivory Coast international.
However Kanga, who played at 2006, is the subject of dispute: the rojillos would rather land the winger on loan, but Lens wish to sell him on.
With this in mind, interest from Greek giants Olympiacos could sour the move to Spain.
The player's agent, one Franck Belhasen, said to L'Equipe: "Osasuna want to loan Akalé, but Lens would rather sell him on.
"They paid €5m for him last year, so they now would like to sell him for around €4m or €4.5m.
"Atlético [de Madrid] were in touch with him last season but he followed his former coach to Lens. Now that he has no space at Lens he wants to go to Spain.
"Olympiacos are willing to purchase Akalé but his heart's set on the Liga. Let's wait and see."
