Valencia Should Cash In On Players - Gomez

Los Che have several players in their squad who are all being chased by the usual suspects.

David Villa has been linked with a move to Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Inter but Los Che have made it clear that they will not be giving up their prized asset.

Gomez believes Valencia should consider any offers and sell if the price is right.

“Nobody is unsellable as every player has his price,” Gomez told Marca.

“I don’t think that players should be stopped from leaving.

“Of course when someone is up for sale the price goes up but in my opinion it should do only when the players are worth it.

“Valencia have gone without selling players for a while now and I think this is unfair from a sporting point of view.

“It’s important for the current players to keep working hard and look forward to the new season in order to try and win things with Valencia.”

Los Che have tried to scare off those with designs on Villa by slapping a €40m price tag on his head and their tactics seem to have worked as no club looks likely to make a serious bid for the player just yet.

It has been reported that the Mestalla-based club may off-load a few players in order to curb their recent financial woes and bring the club's economics back in line.
