Reyes Disappointed With Draw

Atlético Madrid have yet to win a pre-season game after two defeats and now a draw in their tour of Mexico.

The Spanish team started the game well and even stamped their authority on the game but walked out of the stadium with only a 2-2 draw after having a 2-0 lead over the Mexican squad.

Reyes has found playing time extremely hard to come by during the pre-season but played fairly well today, assisting Diego Forlán for his Atlético's second goal.

"The truth is that this draw tastes like defeat because Atlético Madrid, winning 2-0, cannot have a game end in a draw like this. Nonetheless, we are in pre-season and we need to learn from these things," he said after the game.

"We are here most of all to return to good physical condition. The result is what matters least since what we need is to be at our very best during the Champions League qualifying, which is very important to us."

And Reyes, who has been linked with a move to AS Roma, was happy with his performance despite the result.

"When you play, score or make an assist you leave happy but I would be happier if we had defeated Tigres," he concluded.
