Barça To Seal Keita Deal

The Mali international is now set to become Barça's first signing for the new campaign after just one season of play with the Sevillistas.

The 28-year-old had a meeting today with Barcelona's director of football, Txiki Begiristain, and vice-presidents Marc Ingla and Ferran Soriano to agree personal terms with the Catalan club.

Keita will reportedly join Barcelona for a fee of €14 million - the figure set in his release clause at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

The former Marseille player is expected to undergo a medical on Monday, although it is reported that he passed a medical today, with the permission of Sevilla.

Either way, the African player will only be announced in June, after Josep Guardiola is confirmed as the club's new coach, which in turn will only happen when Barcelona B finish their season.

Keita, who joined Sevilla from Lens for a fee worth €3.4 million, made 29 Liga appearances for the Spanish club this season, netting three goals.
