Ronaldinho To Miss Barça Last Fixture

The Brazilian star made his last appearance for Barcelona on the 9th of March against Villareal, and has been sidelined since tearing a muscle in his right leg.

Although it was speculated that Ronaldinho would regain full fitness to participate in Barcelona's last game of the season against Murcia, Pruna has ensured that the 28-year-old will be an absentee on Saturday.

The Barcelona doctor did not believe last week that Ronaldinho would be able to play this game, since "this case is about recovering from an injury and not to compete at all costs."

"Ronaldinho won't be in Murcia because it would be hasty and a mistake, but his injury won't leave any sequels," he said.

Pruna, meanwhile, confirmed that he is confident that Ronaldinho is fit to continue playing at the highest level, criticizing the alleged medical undergone by the player two weeks ago on a private clinic in Barcelona.

"It is not correct to say that someone can no longer play at this level when he is injured and has been sidelined for some time. However, Ronaldinho has the right to ask for a second opinion.

"Due to his condition and his quality, it won't be difficult for him to return to his level," Pruna added.

Rumours abound that 'Dinho is to leave Camp Nou in summer, maening that he may have already played his final game in a blue-and-red shirt.
