Vilanova has hailed the start to the season as ‘positive’, and has discussed the conundrum of either playing Thierry Henry or Samuel Eto’o spearheading their attack.
“Henry has showed a great willingness to work, from his very first day at the club. His displays have always been questioned by the press, but he is a world class player and once he has confidence, he can break loose.”
He has also been delighted with retaining Eto’o, who he admits was ‘outside the club’ in the summer.
“His attitude was very good, it looked as if he was moving on in the summer, but he like the way we play and our training. It was easy for Pep and him to work together.”
Both Henry and Eto’o have bagged goals in the last few weeks as the battle for the starting berth alongside Messi and Iniesta in the Barca attack.
