Real call press conference

Real call press conference

Real Madrid have announced a board meeting for Wednesday evening, after which president Florentino Perez will hold a press conference.

Madrid gave no further details but it is expected that Perez will talk about the coaching situation at the Spanish giants, with Jose Mourinho strongly linked with the job.

Manuel Pellegrini is currently Real's coach but he has found himself under intense pressure after failing to win a trophy in his first season in charge.

Widespread speculation recently suggests that Pellegrini will be replaced by Mourinho, who this season led Inter Milan to an unprecedented treble of Serie A, Coppa Italia and UEFA Champions League titles.

Mourinho Inter's were crowned champions of Europe at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend and the Portuguese tactician immediately hinted he would make the ground his third home.

The Madrid board meeting will begin at 1630 GMT and the press conference is scheduled to start an hour later at the Bernabeu.
