Valencia manager Unai Emery has decided to stay at the club after his contract expires in the summer.
The 38-year-old Spaniard has taken Valencia to third place in La Liga this season and a place in next year's UEFA Champions League, having been at the Mestalla since 2008.
Despite a guaranteed spot in Europe's elite club competition next year, Los Che are 24 points behind second-placed Real Madrid with just two games in the Primera Division left to play.
The former Almeria boss has not revealed the length of the contract extension but is happy to commit to the club.
He said: "I am very grateful for the appreciation shown for our work and for the fact that we are staying on."
Valencia's next game is a trip to El Madrigal at the weekend to take on Villarreal.
