I Would Never Have Moved To Barcelona - Trezeguet

The Frenchman came close to leaving the Stadio Olimpico in Turin this summer but the lure of Catalonian football and the Camp Nou didn't really appeal to him.

Barcelona tried time and again and reports in Italy suggested they even had a bid turned down for the hit-man. Juve stated he was not for sale at any price but there was no need as Trezeguet has revealed he was never going to leave.

"Guardiola wanted me to be a part of his Barcelona side but I was very clear with him because I never felt the need to change Juve for the Blaugrana," Trezeguet told Sky Sport Italia.

The striker then spoke about his role with the Old Lady and he admits he is slowly working his way back to form following problems with his tendons.

"The problem is affecting me but I need to be more careful, especially in training," added the striker.

The hit-man played against Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League and almost scored before he was substituted for Amauri after he complained of pain in his right knee.
