Flaño: First Victory Is Vital

It's been a dissappointing start to the season for Osasuna in terms of points gained, and yet before this weekend the Navarran side were actually unbeaten in the league. The 1-0 defeat to Valencia followed 1-1 draws with both Mallorca and Villarreal and young defender Javier Flaño knows his side have to start winning soon.

"The team is playing quite well but we need to show that with a good result," he opined, "Although the season has only just begun results are important and come Wednesday we must pick up our first victory."

The match which Flaño is targetting for their opening win is the home clash against Deportivo La Coruña and the right-back assured the press today that everyone in the side was confident heading into the game.

"So far we have lacked a little bit at the start of games and we haven't concentrated throughout the ninety minutes. This means we haven't picked up the victory to gain confidence and to banish any doubts."

"In the team there are no doubts though and we all have confidence in ourselves," he explained.

Flaño got a chance to play in the defeat to Valencia following the sending off of César Azpilicueta and he says he hopes to continue been of service for his club.

"I have been hoping for some time to be in the team because I have great desires to play, with good feelings and to make things turn out well for both the team and myself," he concluded.
