The Villarreal hardman was a stalwart under former boss Luis Aragonés, and seems to be a trustee of the new manager as well.
But for Senna, he has his teammates have yet to hit stride under Del Bosque, and such improvement will only come with time.
He told the media, "We deserved that win because we commanded the match for the whole 90 minutes. Fans expected more goals and we tried our best, but it wasn't possible.
"They most important thing is that we managed all three points.
"This was our first (competitive) game under Del Bosque and we'll work gradually. Vicente has ideas, just as Luis did. We want to play touch football. The pitch didn't help us, but even so we held the ball.
"Now we want to keep on scoring and maintain our streak at home."
