Guardiola's Need To Start Winning

The Blaugrana find themselves in unfamiliar territory at the bottom end of the Spanish Primera Division following a draw and a defeat from the opening two games of the campaign.

The coach is hoping for a change in fortunes and he is demanding improvements from his side when they clash with Sporting Gijon on Sunday and he is well aware that fate is in his own team's hands.

“We need to start winning now,” said the coach.

“I think we need to continue playing well and improve. We have to be better when going forwards and be more forceful in attack. We need to be calmer and dominate games by taking early leads.

“We have to be more adventurous when going for goal.”

Barcelona are desperate for points and they cannot afford to slip up against bottom of the table Gijon.

Any more negative results are likely to have the fans and board up in arms against Guardiola.
