Sevilla striker Arouna Kone has expressed his wish to play first-team football after being linked with Birmingham City and Paris St Germain.
Kone has struggled to make an impact in Spanish football since joining Sevilla in 2007 from PSV Eindhoven and he spent much of last season on the sidelines through injury.
He has been unable to reclaim his place in the Sevilla side since returning to fitness, with the capture of Alvaro Negredo further reducing his opportunities.
Reports have claimed that Birmingham boss Alex McLeish is willing to sign the Ivory Coast international on loan in January with a view to a permanent move.
PSG have also been mooted as admirers of Kone, who admits he needs to be playing regularly in order to boost his international prospects.
"I want to play first-team football," affirmed Kone.
"Without that, I will have to say goodbye to my dream of winning the African Nations Cup and playing in the World Cup."
