Barcelona defender Gabriel Milito has played his first match in more than 18 months as he continues his recovery from a knee ligament injury.
The 29-year-old played the first half of a 4-1 friendly win over Peruvian side Bolivar on Wednesday morning as part of tentative progress in his rehabilitation.
Milito damaged anterior cruciate ligaments in the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League semi-final second-leg loss at Manchester United.
But the Argentina international is now pleased to have returned to the field, although he has still to set a date for competitive action.
"I had a very good feeling after such a long time out," he told Barca TV .
"I am making very significant progress even though I know I am still locked in the recovery phase.
"I don't know (when I will play a competitive match) but it'll take a while yet."
