Roberto Mancini's agent is unaware of rumours linking the Italian with the Real Madrid post amid reports a deal has been agreed to finally annul his contract with Inter Milan.
Inter parted with Mancini in 2008 in order to bring in Jose Mourinho as coach, but the former Sampdoria and Lazio striker was still contracted to the club until 2012.
However, reports in Italy suggest a deal has been reached to release Mancini from that contract to allow the 44-year-old to take on a new job.
He has been mooted as a replacement for Manuel Pellegrini at Real Madrid, but his representative Giorgio De Giorgis has not received any contact from the Spanish giants.
"I know nothing about Mancini at Real," De Giorgis told ANSA news agency.
"If it would be true, he would have told me. Anyway, I wish this for him."
Foreign experiencePellegrini is already feeling the pressure at Real despite only taking charge in the summer, with results over the past week placing doubts over the Chilean's future.
Real followed up a home defeat by AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League with a 0-0 draw at Sporting Gijon before suffering a humiliating 4-0 loss at third division side Alcorcon in the Copa del Rey.
Mancini has been put forward as a possible replacement for Pellegrini and he confirmed he is keen to get back into coaching, having also recently been considered for the Notts County job.
"We will see what will happen in the next few weeks," Mancini told Sky Italia .
"Leagues have only been started for a short time, so we will see what happens over the next months.
"I have said it once before, at times you never think that you'll train a certain team and then you end up training that very team.
"I think that, for me, an experience abroad could be really useful, considering that I think it's the right moment. But we'll see."
