Agent - No talks for Fabiano

Agent - No talks for Fabiano

Luis Fabiano's agent insists reports of the Brazil international being offered a new deal with Sevilla are wide of the mark.

Fabiano came close to leaving the Liga outfit in the summer, with AC Milan keen on his services but unable to reach an agreement with the Spanish club.

The talented forward has started the new season in impressive form and has helped Los Rojiblancos challenge near the Primera Division summit, while they have a 100 per cent record in the UEFA Champions League after three successive Group G victories.

There had been suggestions that Sevilla were ready to offer Fabiano improved terms in a bid to keep him at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, but his agent, Jose Fuentes, insists no talks have taken place.

Fuentes said: "It is too early to speak about a possible new deal for the player with Sevilla.

"In the last few months we have not had any more contact with the club and I don't think this situation will change before the 2010 World Cup.

"At the moment it may be better to allow the player to concentrate on his football and develop his work with the team."
