SPAIN
Casillas 6 - May not have faced any clear chances, but he controlled his area well and cut out all the crosses that came his way with confidence.
Sergio Ramos 6.5 - Saw a lot of the ball going forward, but could not produce the opening that the coach would have liked and was withdrawn in the second half.
Capdevila 6 - Was able to push forward when possible, but was not as active as the two that appeared on the other flank.
Puyol 7 - An assured presence at the back who does not always receive the credit he deserves for his strength and organisation of a back four.
Albiol 7 - Another unsung player in arguably the best Spain side ever, but his partnership with the Barça star looked very good.
Fàbregas 7 - Did not see everything he tried come off, but he was also called upon to work back and help out in a crowded midfield.
Senna 6.5 - Put himself about and was lucky not to be booked. In a busy midfield, the Villarreal star broke up the Chile forward movements well.
Xabi Alonso 7.5 - Also worked very hard and kept a calm head in tight situations to break up the play and release team-mates.
Xavi 7.5 - His passes set up two of the goals and while he was evidently one of the players Chile aimed to stop, he still did his job well.
Riera 7 - Was given a chance due to his good form for Liverpool and more than did enough to earn another chance at the highest level.
Villa 7.5 - Showed a cool head from the penalty spot and made the best of playing on his own to create chances and to test the keeper.
