Deportivo La Coruna were utterly dominant against a dreadfully poor Feyenoord side at the Riazor tonight, and the 3-0 victory could have been more emphatic had they taken their chances in the later stages.
Lotina was satisfied with the win, but admitted he had hoped for more goals to improve their goal difference in the race to qualify.
He said, "At 3-0 the match was over as a contest. We could have scored more but I cannot complain. However if you look at the goal average, it owuld have been important to get a couple more goals."
The victory was crucial after their haevy defeat to CSKA Moscow last month, or else they may have been eliminated.
He continued, " We had to win after the defeat in Moscow, and we have done it by playing well. Hopefully we can win in Poland against Lecha Poznan to ensure we get through."
Elsewhere CSKA confirmed top spot in the group by winning 2-1 in Moscow against Deportivo's next opponents, and they have nine points out of nine, racking up eight goals in the process.
