Sevilla midfielder Romaric will miss the Champions League tie with Rangers after being ruled out for at least a month.
The Ivory Coast international was injured in Sevilla's first league game of the season against Valencia and a medical test has confirmed the player suffered ligament damage to his left knee.
Romaric has not travelled with the Ivory Coast squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifying matches and is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Sevilla face Rangers in the second game of the Champions League group matches at Ibrox on 29th September, but the 26-year-old is likely to miss out.
The Ivorian cost Sevilla €8million when he signed from Le Mans in 2008 and penned a five-year deal with the Spanish club.
