Achille Emana's agent has revealed that Real Betis refused to contemplate selling the midfielder this summer.
After excelling for the Andalusian outfit last term, the 27-year-old was expected to move on during the recent transfer window.
With his performances unable to prevent Betis from slipping out of the Primera Liga, it was predicted that they would look to cash in on the Cameroon international.
There was no shortage of clubs willing to take on his services, with sides across Europe tracking his availability.
Emana made it clear that he was keen to secure a switch elsewhere, with the 2010 World Cup at the back of his mind.
Betis, though, opted to snub a number of approaches, much to the player's disgust.
The African ace has since returned to Betis for the new season and called a truce with the club's hierarchy, but his agent has admitted that a number of suitable bids for his client were never considered.
"Neither CSKA Moscow, who proposed €9million (Ј7.9m), nor Stuttgart or Atletico Madrid received any reply," Herve Tchinda said in L'Equipe .
