Luis Fabiano insists Sevilla are going for the win against Rangers in their UEFA Champions League meeting at Ibrox.
A draw would go a long way to helping the Liga outfit progress to the first knockout round, although the Brazilian is not looking for a draw.
The 28-year-old, who was wanted by AC Milan over the summer, admits Rangers' draw in their opener in Stuttgart made him take notice.
He felt the Bundesliga outfit were the favourites to qualify behind Sevilla, however, he now thinks Walter Smith's side are in the mix.
Fabiano is desperate for a successful season in a bid to ensure he leads the line for Brazil in next summer's World Cup finals.
Sevilla toppled Espanyol in the 2007 Uefa Cup final in Glasgow and he admits the city holds good memories for him.
Intent"This match is key for us. Sevilla travel with the intention of winning," he told skysports.com . "For me it won't be an easy match.
"Initially I believed Stuttgart would be the favourites for second spot, but Rangers have demonstrated that they could now progress to the next round.
"Glasgow holds good memories for Sevilla. We won our second Uefa Cup there in 2007. I didn't score, but the satisfaction was enormous.
"We've analysed Rangers' performance in Germany. The Scottish game is not just about the physical strength and aerial game. They've got a good touch and are dangerous going forward.
"We kicked off our season with a defeat, but we've responded well and now things are different. Sevilla are now playing at a level that makes us one of the strongest sides in Europe.
Important season
"This season is very important for me. I want to win the title with Sevilla and to score many goals ahead of the World Cup next summer.
"My dream is to play for Brazil in South Africa. My desire was to become a popular name throughout Europe and I've done this by scoring many goals.
"Sevilla's attacking line is one of the best in Europe. Any player is able to score and this makes it very hard for teams to beat us.
"A victory in Glasgow will go a long way to helping secure qualification and finishing top of our group."
