Abel Resino insists he does not fear for his job despite overseeing Atletico Madrid's woeful start to the season.
There were high hopes at the capital club before the 2009/10 campaign got under way, with a title tilt even mentioned in some quarters.
However, those dreams appear to have been dashed already, with a series of disappointing results leaving them well off the pace.
They have taken just two points from their opening four fixtures, with a 2-2 draw with Almeria on Wednesday leaving them second from bottom in the Primera Liga table.
Atletico were also held by Cypriot minnows Apoel Nicosia in their opening game of the UEFA Champions League group stages.
The worrying wobble has piled pressure on manager Resino, with supporters venting their anger at the coaching staff, players and board in recent weeks.
SolutionsClub president Enrique Cerezo has given his backing to the current management team, though, and that is enough to convince Resino that he is safe for now.
"I'm not scared about my job at all. I'm calm and working hard," he said.
"The only thing that concerns me is looking for solutions to improve the team's mental state, although only results will strengthen the morale of the squad.
"I'm going to do all that I can to turn the current situation around. I'm not worried about, nor am I thinking about, my future. I'll continue to search for solutions for the team."
He added: "The tension being felt by the team is produced by a lack of confidence. We won't get it back until we win again.
"The squad need to stick together. One match can resolve the problems."
