Barca suffer Bojan blow

Barca suffer Bojan blow

Barcelona have suffered a blow with the news that teenage striker Bojan Krkic will be out for up to three weeks.

The 19-year-old picked up a knock on his thigh ten minutes from the end of his side's 3-0 win over Sporting Gijon on Monday night.

Bojan scored the opening goal of the win, which was the champions' first league game of the season and also drew goals from Seydou Keita and new striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, the win was marred by the injury to their young starlet, who could miss important games against Getafe, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

"This is not good news for us," said Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola. "I hope we get him back as soon as possible, because we need him. I have a lot of confidence in him."

Meanwhile, summer signing Maxwell also picked up a thigh strain during the win and will undergo tests on Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury.
