Jiménez Dismisses Laudrup Rumours

Jiménez took charge at Sevilla when Juande Ramos left to join Tottenham in October and despite overseeing the team's rise up the league table, he was unable to steer them into a Champions League qualifying position.

His failure to do so has seen a number of coaches linked with a move to the Sanchez Pizjuan for next season and the latest to be attached to the potential vacancy is Michael Laudrup, after his agent Bayram Tutumlu hinted as such in a radio interview on Wednesday morning.

Jiménez has been questioned about his future throughout the season and believes that the current rumours are nothing but agent talk, designed to let other clubs know that Laudrup is available.

"[Tutumlu] has to find a new club for Laudrup if he wants to leave Getafe and this seems like a good way of doing it to him," he told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday.

"I am not nervous about [my future], I am only ever nervous before a game of football."

One man who looks certain to be on his way out of Sevilla is Daniel Alves, and Jiménez was diplomatic when questioned on the Brazilian's proposed move to Barcelona.

"If they do sign him then they will sign one of the best full-backs in the world," he concluded.
