La Liga Team Of The Week: Round 37

With the title matters already settled, the real action was at the bottom of the table. Real Zaragoza spurned a host of chances as they drew 2-2 with Madrid, while Recreativo stunend Almería with a 2-0 win at the Mediterraneo. Valencia secured their own survival with a 5-1 win at Valencia, while Osasuna overcame Murcia 2-1 to move away from the dropzone. Valladolid, though, were held 0-0 by Getafe, meaning that they aren't yet safe, although the Azulones are.

Further up, Atlético Madrid guaranteed their Champions League presence next season after overcoming Deportivo 1-0, while Sevilla look good for a UEFA Cup spot after their 2-0 derby victory over Betis. Racing are left sweating over 6th place after a stalemate at Athletic, Espanyol's European dreams are dead after Villarreal beat then 2-0, and, of course, a certain Dani Güiza sealed a last-gasp win for Mallorca, 3-2 at Barcelona.

This week's best XI lines up 4-1-3-2.
