Óscar Serrano Linked With Getafe Move

Serrano has impressed on the left-flank in Racing's top four challenge this year and like coach Marcelino, defender Ezequiel Garay and midfielder Aldo Duscher, has attracted interest from a number of clubs for next season.

One such club is Getafe, with coach Michael Laudrup looking for midfielders to fill the gaps that will be left by the likely summer departures of Ruben de la Red, Pablo Hernandez and Esteban Granero, all of whom will probably return to their parent clubs come the end of the season.

Los Azulones would be willing to pay just over €2million to land Serrano, although it is understood that such a figure would not be of interest to Racing, who are only prepared to sell the winger if a team of higher stature than their own comes in with a significant bid for the twenty-six year old.

Serrano himself has indicated that he is content to stay with Racing, with the prospect of European football next season a likely factor in his decision should he elect to stay at El Sardinero.

"I only think about Racing, we have a good possibility of qualifying for European competition and I do not want to be distracted. In addition, I am very content in Cantabria, with the supporters and with the club, so it will be difficult for me to leave here," he affirmed.
