Sevilla failed to show much spark throughout the ninety minutes and Jiménez believes that it is because the squad is paying the physical price for their exertions earlier in the campaign.
"At this point in the season we seem to be playing with heart more than anything else, the legs have gone," he told reporters after the match.
The result leaves Sevilla two points behind fourth placed Atlético Madrid, who play Getafe tomorrow, and Jiménez feels that it they will now face a very difficult task if they are to qualify for the Champions League
"I am not content and neither are the players. We have not played a good match because victory was our aim. We added a point but for our aspirations it is not sufficient," he affirmed.
"But while there is still blood in us we will continue to fight."
The one bright side of the result for Jiménez was that his side kept a clean sheet while fielding a defensive unit that included three players from the Sevilla youth setup in David Prieto, Crespo and Federico Fazio.
"In defence the canteranos put in good performances, but unfortunately we did not have such clarity elsewhere in the team," he concluded.
