West Ham United Rule Out Dalla Bona Move

West Ham United director of football Gianluca Nani admits his club will not pursue any interest in former Napoli star Samuele Dalla Bona.

The former Chelsea midfielder rescinded his deal with the Partenopei on Wednesday afternoon after failing to establish himself as a regular starter this season.

Dalla Bona had hopes of a Premier League return and reports in England were full of speculation, suggesting the Italian would be linking up with former Blues team-mate Gianfranco Zola at the Hammers.

However, Nani has thanked Dalla Bona for his interest in West Ham, but has told the player his chances of joining are non-existent.

"I am sorry for breaking Dalla Bona's dream, but there are no possibilities that he can come and play for us," Nani told Radio Kiss Kiss.

"It's true that the player asked to train at West Ham, but we haven't given him a response just yet.

"He does not fit into our plans and, in any case, we couldn't even sign him until June.

"If he does come it will only be to train."
