The North Africans are now the ninth-ranked team in Africa, with Cameroon retaining top spot in the continent.

Tunisia's World Cup rivals, Nigeria, are second in Africa and 23rd in the world after they dropped six places from the January ratings, while African champions Egypt are rated the third best in the continent.

The other teams within the African top 10 include Ghana, Ivory Coast, Morocco and Guinea.

There were no changes in the top 10 teams in the world with European champions Spain, Germany and the Netherlands occupying the top three spots.
