Player Ratings: Atletico Madrid 1-1 Getafe

ATLETICO MADRID

Leo Franco 6 - Hardly had anything to do after the first few minutes and there was not much he could have done to prevent the equaliser.

Pernia 5.5 - Did show his ugly side with a few fouls and was exposed on occasion in both halves as Getafe found space for crosses on his side.

Pablo 6.5 - Had a strong game at the back for a team relied on its defence to keep them in front, but he does lose marks for conceding a penalty.

Ujfalusi 6 - Stuck to his task, but until Getafe actually found a way to the edge of the Atleti area did not have a great deal to do.

Seitaridis 6 - Set up the goal with a long ball forward and rarely allowed Getafe to go down his flank.

Raul Garcia 6 - Was unable to put his foot on the ball in the middle and control the play like maybe he should have done.

Assuncao 5 - As one of the creative players in the home side, he did little to actually create anything and went missing for long periods.

Maxi 6.5 - Led by example with some powerful runs, but his finishing was not up to his usual standard when he could have won the game for Atletico.

Simao 7 - Tried everything he could to create chances and his touches were the highlights for the hosts going forward most of the game.

Forlan 7 - Another players that stood out above his team-mates for his running and his ability to open Getafe up with his vision.

Aguero 6 - Showed some good touches when bringing the ball down, but Atletico were unable to use him as they have done before and he had few chances.

Subs

Maniche 6 - Had a shot and looked to make things work going forward, but he could not do that much as the rest of his team struggled.

Heitinga 5.5 - Did not make much of an impression, but was the only defender to go on and was present when Getafe equalised.

Pongolle 7 - His entrance gave Atletico a lift if all too briefly, as his running and determination added some decisiveness to the team.

GETAFE

Jacobo 7 - Made some very good stops to keep his team in the game and could have earned himself a regular place in the side.

Cortes 5.5 - Was taken off early in the second half for the more attack-minded Contra in what had to be a tactical switch as he did little wrong.

Cata Diaz 7.5 - A commanding presence at the back for the visitors and will have been pleased that Getafe only conceded one against such renowned forwards.

Mario 7 - His spirit was undoubted as he challenged for every ball like it was a cup final while riding his luck on one occasion when nudging Maxi.

Licht 5.5 - Did some very odd things at crucial moments like try to shoot from the goal-line and then trying again from inside his own half.

Gavilan 6 - Worked tirelessly before being replaced ten minutes from time as Victor Munoz looked to add more to his forward line.

Casquero 7 - Remained calm and collected and showed that he is capable of tackling as well as making a decisive pass when required.

Polanski 5 - When some midfield inspiration was needed he was unable to produce the goods and a shocking long range pass off the pitch summed things up.

Granero 6 - Showed flashes of what he can do, but they were too few and far between for him to effect the game enough.

Albín 7.5 - Overcame his dreadful penalty kick to be in the right place at the right time to head home the equaliser.

Uche 7 - Often failed to take a good first touch when playing as the main man up front, but his knock down created the goal and that was enough.

Subs

Contra 6.5 - His fine cross to the far post led to the equaliser as coach Victor Munoz made some effective substitutions.

Celestini 6 - Showed some good touches as he helped to shore up Getafe's midfield.

Guerron 7 - Came on and really made his presence felt as he put himself about and spurred Getafe forward.
