Barcelona director Aitor Begiristain watched youngster Henrique in action at the weekend.
Barca signed the highly-rated 22-year-old in the summer form Palmeiras.
But they immediately loaned him to Bayer Leverkusen - where he has impressed hugely.
Bayer are hoping to extend his spell by another term, but Barca are yet to make a decision.
Bayer director Rudi Voller admitted Henrique's future is in the balance.
"I think we have a fifty per cent chance of keeping Henrique," Voller told Premiere .
"It's still very much undecided what will happen at this point in time.
"I do expect a decision on his future to happen in four to six weeks."
