Hleb Won't Be Leaving Barcelona

Alexander Hleb came to Barcelona during the summer and big things were expected of the Belarus international, but he has often found himself on the bench under Josep Guardiola's reign as coach.

Despite his trouble settling in since moving from Arsenal, his agent insists that the Belarus international is not thinking of leaving the club, despite being linked with a summer move to Inter.

"Barcelona have no intention of losing a player like that. Barcelona are convinced of his quality and will give him time to prove himself," agent Uli Ferber told calciomercato.it .

"He is happy at Barcelona, he likes everything from the team to the city. Of course he is not pleased that he is not playing much, but he wants to fight for a first team place."

The agent does admit that it won't be easy for Hleb to assert himself, but has faith in his client's abilities.

"We're talking about the best team in the world, with great players in every position. Alexander has great respect for his teammates," revealed Ferber.

Hleb has made just 20 appearances in all competitions this season for Barcelona and has yet to score a goal for the club.
