Jimenez Dejected After Sevilla's Loss To Real Betis

Manolo Jimenez was understandably distraught following his side's loss to bitter rivals Betis, admitting that it hurt more than any other defeat.

Speaking at the post match press conference, Jimenez said, "We have not lost more points than another loss, but it hurts more, especially because of our performance."

"I must praise the attitude of the players, despite the fact that it wasn't their best performance. But we must also congratulate Real Betis."

"It would be a lie not to say that it all went downhill after the hour, when Duscher got sent off and Sergio Garcia scored," continued Jimenez. "Until then they had not created much, although neither did we."

Finally, Jimenez briefly touched on the fact that he did not greet Paco Chaparro before the match, saying, "Paco will always be my friend, and friendships will remain whether or not we engage in formalisms."
