Granero Wants Permanent Resolution
Granero, 20, has been one of the most impressive performers for Getafe throughout the season and Madrid president Ramon Calderon confirmed on Monday that Granero, along with Ruben de la Red and Javi Garcia, would be returning to the club at the end of the season.
However, a report in Marca suggests that Madrid have already negotiated a verbal agreement with Getafe for Granero to return to Los Azulones for another year on loan next season, and that Granero and his agent Teo Lázaro are angered at not being included in the discussions.
The midfielder wants to have his future secured ahead of next season, and although is priority is to remain at Real Madrid, if it is clear that he will not get regular first-team football then he would want to join another team on a permanent basis rather than settling for another loan deal.
If he was to move away from the Bernabeu, then Granero would also request for there not to be a buy-back clause in the contract - something that was included with de la Red and Garcia - as he wishes to make a clean break from Madrid if they cannot assure him that he will be a valued member of their squad.
Both Granero and Lázaro are certain that this is the right course of action, and will give priority to Getafe ahead of other interested clubs should a permanent transfer occur.
